Buenas tardes from Bogotá, Colombia!Buenas tardes from Bogotá, Colombia!

Our team of volunteers here at Solidaridad Internacional Colombia is finally complete!

Kasia, the expert volunteer from Spain already arrived in December; Carolina from France and Julia from Germany flew in last week.

We have been very busy since then. Here at Soli Colombia work just started again after the holidays and there is much to do.

New year, new challenges, new goals.

There was a lot of paperwork to take care of for our Colombian identity cards and many technicalities like phones and places to live. It seems we got it sorted out and now we are receiving our formal induction (introduction to the team, to the structure and work of Soli here and also technical details like the security protocols and so on).

At the end of the week Carolina will fly to Popayán to start her actual task of Evalution in the field office there. Kasia and Julia are staying in Bogotá to fulfill their respective tasks in the areas of Advocacy and Human Resources.

We are looking forward to sharing our experience with you and mostly to keep you updated on the humanitarian situation and challenges thiscountry faces in these particular moments. By our reflections, photos, articles we read, or simply impressions; we want to get you closer to this beautiful, fascinating, but also very complex country and its people.

Kasia, Carolina and Julia
